Automist is very low-maintenance. We recommend an annual service, but unless there was an error, the system should work for years without fault and without the need for intervention. Your installer will follow the following process:
- Inspection of the layout
- Visual inspection of the system
- Change wireless Alarm batteries
- If necessary, re-commission the system (Sensor, commissioning flow & draining each head, followed by draining the high-pressure hoses)
- Fill the paperwork
- Submit annual service (partner page)
Commissioning is a procedure which allows Automist's response to a fire to be tested. During commissioning, the pump runs for approximately 1 minute and the output pressure is monitored. A test shield is provided to direct the resulting spray into an adjacent sink or into a bucket.
